The minimum salary offered for this position is £45,000 pa however the client may pay up to £50,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

The successful candidate will Own and coordinates the manufacturing plan, improving their ability to meet customer delivery requirements by understanding capacity, identifying constraints, and actively reducing lead times (availability) by product. Minimises investment in raw and finished material inventory where appropriate.

Responsibilities include:

Be accountable for and own the manufacturing "build" plan, coordinating with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Production, Stores, Logistics, Supply Chain, NPI Planning and site wide management to ensure a cohesive strategic, executable plan is in place

Own the consolidation of various delivery commitments from Cell Leaders and Purchasing into one agreed order schedule, ensuring customer satisfaction.

To support a site wide SIOP program. (Sales, Inventory, Operating Plan)

Responsible for the flow of product through the production facility and subcontract manufacturers, ensuring that production operatives / subcontractors have the correct quantities of materials/components and information delivered to them on time at the correct location to achieve on time deliveries

Support to co-ordinate all aspects of production planning, material control, shop floor scheduling and labour capacity planning

Prepare and issue shop floor documentation to meet the Production Schedule

Works to resolve, labour and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions using a Problem, Action, Owner, Due Date methodology

Liaise with Sales and Product Managers to communicate delays and to resolve any delivery queries

Process Engineering Change Orders, Custom BoM (Bill of Materials) releases and new product Introductions into existing production

Review and manage the Operations element of 1st Article Inspection on incoming subcontracted product

Provide accurate, timely and concise feedback to keep key stakeholders updated with the latest status

Take a lead role in the ongoing improvement in manufacturing data accuracy

Analyse long lead time parts and work with purchasing to develop custom supply solutions (e.g., point-of-use material, line-side stocking, Kanban, min-max supply, etc.)

Producing Key Performance Indicator and management reports

Essential Skills and Experience:

Minimum five years of production planning or material management experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ideally electromechanical experience

Experience in an electro-mechanical or electronics manufacturer is highly beneficial

Proven track record of success and growth in positions of increasing responsibility

Previous experience with SAP (preferred)

Excellent communication skills - face-to-face, in writing, by phone, in groups, and in one-on-one settings
