Electrical Design Engineer

The minimum salary offered for this position is £35,000 pa however the client may pay up to £40,000 pa to those candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities

My client is a highly successful design and manufacturer of complex electromechanical products with a global customer presence, advanced engineering team and state of the art product standing out above the crowd.

They are looking to expand their design team with an Electrical Design Engineer to cover the ever growing demands of their loyal customers.

The Role

As an Electrical Design engineer you will be tasked with full design for manufacture (DFM), producing detailed concept designs right through to production including developing existing designs to customer specifications and development team demands.

Main responsibilities include:

Producing concept designs, design for manufacture (DFM), full manufacturing drawings and work instructions for the finished products (CAD Software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN 8, EPLAN etc?)

Integrating finished designs with associated control systems such as: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), SCADA, Smart Relays, Motor Control Centres (MCCs) and/or Switchgear.

Writing software for: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), SCADA, Smart Relays, Motor Control Centres (MCCs) and/or Switchgear.

The Candidate

This position is suited to: Electrical Design Engineers, Electro-mechanical Design Engineers, Project Design Engineers, Lead Design Engineers, Senior Design Engineers or Design Managers.

A minimum of a HNC in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Electrical control systems design (AutoCAD Electrical preferred but other electrical CAD packages (CAD Software such as: AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN 8, EPLAN etc?)

Strong exposure designing and developing: electrical schematics, complex wiring diagrams, electrical enclosures and manufacturing drawings in both 2D and 3D CAD.

Proven experience in a similar electrical design role

Salary: paying up to £40,000 plus benefits.
